With summer almost in full swing the only thing on my mind is the beach. And every good beach day needs to be accompanied by the perfect beach bag, filled with all the necessities. As an avid beach goer I think I have narrowed down the best items you need for the best beach day! Here is what I would recommend:
You have to start out with the perfect beach bag. This summer I am using a canvas bag that I customized myself using my Cricut, but here are a couple other beach bags that are similar and super cute.

Now for my necessities:
- Sun Bum Hair Lightener Spray, this is my holy grail in the summer. Throughout the winter months I notice my hair start to darken, but I still refuse to get anything done to it. This product brightens my hair and gives me the desired blonde in the summertime. It is quick and easy to use, just spray it a couple times in your hair and you are good to go.
- Tanning Oil, my favorite is from Sun Bum but there are a multitude of different kinds from different brands.
- Face Sunscreen, this is a must. Protecting your face is so important. Again my favorite is from Sun Bum, if you couldn’t already tell Sun Bum products are staples for me in the summer. They just released a face mist sunscreen that is 45 SPF and I have to say this product is amazing.
- A Speaker, I always carry a speaker in my bag. Whether I am alone, with friends or family playing music on the beach creates the perfect vibe. I use the JBL Flip 4. It is easy and portable but still plays music pretty loud.
- Water bottle, hydration is key, especially on hot summer days!
- Sunglasses, obviously! Sunnies not only make the perfect accessory for a beach photoshoot but they allow you not to be squinting all the time! I always have a pair with me!
- A Book or Magazine, sometimes I’m in the mood to read! Right now I am reading a book titled the Defining Decade.
- Hair Ties/Clips, I always find myself wanted to put my hair up on the beach so I make sure to always have
- A Hat, this seems pretty simple but I always find myself reaching for one. Not to mention hats, especially bucket and trucker hats, have become on of this seasons biggest fashion trends.
- Film Camera, this is my latest addition to my beach bag. I recently picked up a waterproof disposable film camera and have been loving using it on beach days.
